IT Security Job Overview We are looking for an experienced IT Security Project Manager to lead and deliver strategic IT security initiatives within a large enterprise environment. The successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of one or more security projects, ensuring successful delivery while coordinating with technical teams, management, and external suppliers. This role combines strong project management expertise with a solid understanding of IT infrastructure and security. Although close collaboration with infrastructure and security specialists is required, hands-on technical implementation is not expected.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the complete lifecycle of one or more IT security projects. Lead projects involving: Implementation of modern encryption technologies. Centralized logging and monitoring solutions. Secure disposal and destruction of IT assets. Coordinate project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery. Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies. Collaborate with: IT Security teams Infrastructure teams External consultants and vendors Prepare management and steering committee reports. Facilitate decision-making and stakeholder alignment. Support procurement processes where required, including: Market consultations Defining evaluation criteria Reviewing supplier proposals Coordinating awarded vendors with procurement and business stakeholders Required Skills & Experience Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager delivering infrastructure or software development projects. Proven experience managing complex IT projects . Demonstrated experience leading IT security projects within medium to large organizations. Strong experience in: Project planning Risk management Issue management Scope and budget control Experience with organizational change management. Good understanding of IT infrastructure, including: Networks Platforms Security controls Knowledge of project management methodologies such as: PRINCE2 PMBOK Relevant Project Management certification is highly desirable. Fluent Dutch (CEFR Level C2) is mandatory. Preferred Qualifications Experience with audit, compliance, or certification initiatives. Experience delivering logging, monitoring, or SIEM projects. Knowledge of ITIL. Knowledge of: NIS2 ISO 27001 Cybersecurity governance frameworks Experience with security operating models and compliance processes. Familiarity with public procurement procedures. Proficiency with: Microsoft Project Microsoft Excel Microsoft PowerPoint Contract Details Start Date: Mid-July 2026 Contract Duration: 12 months (extension possible) Workload: Full-time
