pFor a longterm project at one of our clients in the region Kempen, we are searching for a bsenior Lead EI Engineer. /b /ppAs a bLead EI Engineer /b you are responsible for managing electrical and instrumentation projects from concept to delivery. You act as the technical discipline lead for EI within large-scale multidisciplinary industrial investment projects (up to €30 million) and work closely with the Project Manager, who holds overall responsibility for the project. This is not a purely design-oriented role — we are looking for a Lead Engineer who can provide technical leadership and coordination within multidisciplinary projects. /ph3Tasks Responsibilities /h3ulliIndependently lead the electrical and instrumentation (EI) discipline from A to Z, from feasibility studies through commissioning and handover. /liliMake technical decisions regarding materials and applications, taking environmental factors into account. /liliCollaborate closely with internal project teams (mechanical, site, design), the Project Manager, and external partners. /liliInterpret and assess electrical diagrams and cable calculations (including in Caneco) and provide solutions where necessary. /liliEnsure compliance with ATEX regulations throughout all relevant project phases. /liliSupport projects related to process installations (e.g., battery-related projects such as anode). /liliWork from transformer level, focusing on low voltage with basic knowledge of high voltage. /liliPrepare technical specifications and tender documents, define and monitor project budgets, and track planning and milestones. /liliCorrectly interpret SIL, PL, and Exi calculations to ensure functional safety and compliance. /liliCorrectly interpret Exi calculations in the context of ATEX regulations. /liliBe willing to travel occasionally within Europe and Asia for project follow-up. /li /ulh3Technical Profile Requirements /h3ulliMaster’s or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. /liliMinimum 3 years of experience in a leading EI role within process industry projects. /liliMinimum 7 years of experience as an EI Engineer in the process industry. /liliExcellent knowledge of industrial instrumentation (pressure, flow, level measurements, etc.). /liliExperience with project-based work in the process industry. /liliStrong knowledge and practical experience with ATEX guidelines and applications. /liliAbility to interpret electrical diagrams (e.g., in EPLAN) — drawing skills are not required. /liliExperience with Caneco for cable calculations and interpretation. /liliProven experience interpreting SIL safety calculations. /liliBasic knowledge of hardware and automation (no programming knowledge required). /li /ulh3Non-Technical Profile Requirements /h3ulliYou work independently. /liliYou work proactively. /liliYou are solution-oriented. /liliYou can act diplomatically. /liliYou can communicate smoothly with different levels. /li /ulh3Language Skills /h3ulliFluent in Dutch. /liliFluent in English. /liliOther languages are a plus. /li /ulh3Location /h3ulliregion Kempen. /liliOnsite presence required. /liliCurrent policy: minimum 3 days per week onsite presence. /li /ul
