Industrial Quality Control – Incoming Inspector

Contract Duration: 2 years

The Incoming Industrial Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting products or batches received from suppliers and/or subcontractors.

He/She ensures compliance with contractual requirements and applicable inspection procedures.

Where necessary, he/she may conduct inspections directly at supplier or subcontractor facilities.

He/She is responsible for:

  • Writing inspection and test reports.
  • Preparing non-conformance reports.
  • Managing documentation availability and traceability between supplier delivery documents and documentation.

Regarding incoming non-conformities, he/she is responsible for implementing and managing corrective actions with suppliers and subcontractors. To identify the best corrective actions, he/she also leads and/or participates in reviews involving technical, logistics, production, supplier quality, and other departments.

He/She also contributes to product and process problem solving through root cause analysis.

He/She possesses expertise in one or more technological fields related to mechanical and/or electromechanical engineering, including technical drawing interpretation, measurement tolerances, and the operation of inspection and measurement equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify incoming items against reference documentation and inspect them according to specifications (drawings, technical specifications, standards).
  • Prepare reports following inspections, measurements, and tests.
  • Determine the acceptability of inspected items and identify any non-conformities.
  • Prepare non-conformance reports and implement appropriate corrective actions with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Monitor performance indicators within the area of responsibility.
  • Participate in reviewing and drafting inspection procedures for new and existing products.
  • Provide a comprehensive view of incoming inspection performance.
  • Propose product and process improvement actions.

Profile

  • Technical qualification (A2) or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial quality control.
  • Proficient in standard mechanical measuring instruments:
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Dial indicators
  • Multimeters
  • Experience with advanced measurement equipment such as:
  • CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines)
  • 3D scanners
  • Optical measurement equipment
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for reporting and data processing.
  • Strong written communication skills in French and English.
  • Technical English proficiency.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail, autonomy, proactivity, and strong teamwork skills.

Additional Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of EN9100 and ISO 9001 quality management standards. xlxgzvr
