Our portfolio includes Vadigran, Valadis, Vadipro, and our direct-to-consumer brand Fantail. /ppWe are on a mission to modernize pet retail, combining decades of operational experience with an innovative spirit to make our products smarter, faster, and more responsive to changing customer needs. /ppTo support that journey, we are looking for a full-time Group Controller who becomes the right hand of the CFO on group accounting, consolidation and reporting. /ph3bYour Role /b /h3pAs Group Controller you own the numbers of the group. You steer the accounting process across our Belgian and French entities, drive the monthly close, and build the controlling model that gives management a sharp view of cost and revenue streams across the organisation. You report directly to the CFO. /ppIt is a role with real complexity: multiple legal entities and business models, multiple countries with local accounting principles to be applied, an ERP transformation in the pipeline and a trilingual environment (FR/NL/EN). /ppA typical day? You check in with the finance team (AR, AP, GL, Treasury) to catch operational issues early and fix root causes rather than symptoms. You dive into an ad hoc analysis of a cost or revenue stream for management. And once a month you present the numbers per entity to the PL owners — pushing for performance instead of settling for the status quo or vague answers. /ph3bKey Responsibilities /b /h3pbOwn the numbers /b /pulliManage the accounting process (AR, AP, GL) across Belgium and France /liliManage the monthly production of the PL, balance sheet and cash flow statement /liliPresent monthly results per entity to the PL owners and challenge performance /li /ulpbBuild the controlling backbone /b /pulliCreate a controlling model allowing narrow follow-up of cost and revenue streams across the organisation /liliManage the Finance IT application landscape and its integrations /liliManage and maintain the reporting environment (Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint) /li /ulpbPartner with the business /b /pulliTranslate our production, logistics and distribution environment into financial targets and measures — and tell the story behind the numbers /liliDeliver ad hoc analyses of cost and revenue streams for management /liliSupport CFO during MA projects in creating most efficient legal entity structure, financing structure and cash flow structures /li /ulh3Who we are looking for /h3pbExperience that matters /b /pulliMaster's degree in Finance /lili7–10 years of relevant experience in Audit, Financial Controlling or similar roles /liliMaster in MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI /liliHands‑on experience with Navision / Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus /liliKnowledge of production, logistics and distribution business models is a plus /liliAffinity with the consumer/FMCG industry /liliFluent in French and/or Dutch, plus English /li /ulpbHow you work /b /pulliYou keep the helicopter view — you connect the numbers to the business /liliYou are pragmatic — we are an SME, so you go for simple, workable solutions instead of unnecessary complexity /liliYou are a strong communicator — you connect smoothly with a wide range of stakeholders, from the finance team and PL owners to colleagues in production and logistics /liliAutonomous, yet a real team player: you update the CFO frequently, raise risks and questions on time and act proactively /liliYou stay up to date with new regulations /li /ulh3What
