Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong M&E contractor background and experience delivering complex electrical projects?
We’re recruiting for an exciting opportunity on a major international data centre project in Mons, Belgium, where you’ll play a key role across engineering, design coordination, procurement, installation, BIM, quality and project delivery.
The Role:
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing electrical engineering activities and assigned systems
- Reviewing IFC drawings, specifications and technical information
- Coordinating electrical design through CAD/BIM teams
- Managing RFIs, technical queries and technical submittals
- Providing engineering support to site installation teams
- Coordinating electrical installation, QA and construction work packs
- Supporting BIM coordination, modularisation and fabrication
- Monitoring engineering deliverables against the project programme
- Supporting electrical procurement, material take-offs and supplier assessments
- Coordinating materials, deliveries and engineering requirements
- Supporting testing, validation, snagging and client handover
- Assisting with variations, valuations and commercial reporting
- Promoting a strong Right First-Time culture
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years’ experience with a recognised M&E contractor
- Strong electrical engineering and construction experience
- Proven experience coordinating electrical installation projects
- Strong understanding of electrical design and construction processes
- CAD/BIM experience
- Familiarity with Primavera or similar planning software
- Excellent technical, organisational and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Good understanding of project quality and H&S requirements
- Data centre or mission-critical experience highly desirable
Desirable:
- HV/MV systems
- Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)
- BIM-led construction
- Modularisation and off-site fabrication
- Testing, validation and commissioning
- Large-scale international projects
