The context
Following the successful SAP S/4HANA upgrade as part of the Pathfinder Program, Ontex is focused on maximising the value of its SAP platform, optimising business processes, and ensuring a scalable and sustainable SAP landscape.
To support ongoing business transformation, Ontex is seeking a senior SAP SD/SCM expert who can translate business requirements into robust SAP solutions while providing end-to-end oversight, architectural governance, and consistency across the SD and SCM domains.

- Take on projects from A to Z.
- Translate supply chain business requirements into fit-to-standard SAP solutions, minimising custom development, and maximising value.
- Configure where needed SAP and create functional designs, blueprints, test cases, and documentation to ensure sustainable, compliant solutions.
- Drive controlled deployments, testing, defect resolution, and successful go-lives.
- Define functional specifications for ABAP/BTP developments and integrations.
- Contribute to the S/4HANA roadmap, supporting fit-to-standard adoption, gap remediation, and cutover readiness.
Who are you and what do you bring to the table?
- A humorous, communicative, Senior SAPSD Architect who is not afraid to dive into the system where needed, but who also keeps an architectural overview.
- 10+ years of experience in SAP functional roles within Supply Chain domains (MM, PP, SD, WM, EWM, QM) but with a strong focus on SAP SD.
- Proven ability to design scalable SAP template solutions in ECC/S/4HANA transformation environments.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes (Plan–Source–Make–Deliver) in global, multisite operations.
- Experience with SAP integrations (IDoc, RFC, APIs) and close collaboration with development teams.
