ABOUT THE ROLE
/strong /ppOur client is a leading Belgian Property Casualty insurer operating in the Commercial Lines / Corporate segment. /ppAs part of a multi-year transformation programme, they are modernising their insurance platforms, replacing legacy product administration and offer/contract systems with a modern API-driven target architecture. /ppThe programme aims to: /pulliAccelerate time-to-market for product changes /liliImprove broker and customer response times /li /ulpThe target architecture is built around: /pulliA shared product catalogue /liliA shared decisioning layer /liliA unified API layer serving multiple front-end channels /li /ulpSeveral legacy systems are being decommissioned in parallel as capabilities are migrated to the new platform. To support this transformation, we are looking for a strongSenior Business Analyst /strong who can lead migration workstreams end-to-end, from an initial, often ambiguous brief through to a fully validated and implementation-ready solution. /ppstrong2/ WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT /strong /ppThis is not a traditional Business Analyst position where requirements arrive fully defined. /ppYou will be given a problem statement that may be incomplete or inaccurate and will be expected to: /pulliIdentify the actual business problem /liliDetermine who holds the required knowledge /liliValidate assumptions /liliBuild a clear and robust understanding before moving into solution definition /li /ulpIf you enjoy bringing clarity to complex and ambiguous situations, this role is for you. /ppstrong3/

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
/strong /pulliInvestigate and redefine the underlying business problem before starting detailed analysis. /liliIdentify, engage, and sequence stakeholders effectively to obtain the right information. /liliBuild structured business and data models for insurance products and processes within scope. /liliChallenge and validate those models until they are robust and defensible. /liliProduce clear, structured business requirements and business rule documentation. /liliTrack, manage, and resolve open questions throughout the analysis lifecycle. /liliPresent findings, recommendations, and analysis outcomes to stakeholders and sponsors. /liliEnsure the quality and completeness of your own deliverables before submission. /li /ulpstrong4/ REQUIRED EXPERIENCE /strong /ppstrongMust have /strong /pulliSenior Business Analyst experience (typically 5+ years) in complex systems transformation or process change programmes. /liliStrong experience with structured business modelling and/or data modelling (UML, object-oriented modelling, or comparable methodologies). /liliExperience documenting business requirements and business rules using structured and unambiguous formats. /liliFluency in French and English. /liliAbility to work independently with incomplete information and uncover the real business requirement. /li /ulpstrongNice to Have /strong /pulliInsurance industry experience, ideally Property Casualty or Commercial/Corporate Lines. /liliExperience in legacy-to-target migrations or platform decommissioning programmes. /liliExperience with formal business rule notation and/or requirements engineering frameworks. /li /ulpstrong5/ WORKING ENVIRONNEMENT /strong /pulliHigh autonomy with ownership of dedicated workstreams. /liliHigh trust and high accountability culture. /liliWell-established delivery processes, documentation standards, and quality controls. /liliStructured environment that values analytical rigour and evidence-based decision making. /li /ulpstrong6/ TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT /strong /pulliInsurance product, activity and clause modelling. /liliProduct hierarchies, eligibility rules and coverage structures. /liliCurrent-state / target-state architecture and capability mapping. /liliFormal business rule authoring. /liliInternal knowledge management tools for tracking decisions, models and open questions. /liliDocumentation produced primarily in Microsoft Word. /li /ulpemWe use the pronoun « they » or « the candidate » wherever possible to include all individuals when talking about candidates, regardless of their gender identity.
