Supplier Accounting Manager (m/f/x)To strengthen our finance team in the Shared Service division of Avnet EMEA in Tongeren, we are looking for an experienced leader as Manager, Supplier Accounting (m/f/x).
In this responsible position, you will have a key role in monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, SOX compliance and the management of our Supplier Claims Team.
Your

responsibilities:
Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statementsIndependent preparation and execution of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for four companies of the Avnet EMEA GroupReceipt, preparation and analysis of business dataCalculation of provisions as well as posting and reversal of journal entriesStatus reporting to specialist departments and controllingEnsuring VAT and Intrastat compliance and processing corresponding enquiriesSOX compliance (4 companies)Extracting and preparing data for SOX reportsUploading reports to the SOX reporting toolUploading reconciliations to an additional SOX tracking tool on a quarterly basisContact person for internal and external auditorsProcessing ad hoc enquiries in the context of internal and external auditsManagement of the Ship & Debit and Supplier Claims teamYou will take on the technical and disciplinary management of a five-person team responsible for industry-specific processes in the area of supplier claimsEnsuring weekly, monthly and ad hoc claims to suppliersChecking the receipt of credit notes and reconciling them with outstanding receivablesAnalysing and clarifying major discrepanciesPreparing month-end reports, including aged claims reportsYour profile:Several years of experience in finance and accountingIn-depth knowledge of SAP FI, ideally also MM and S&DExperience in SOX compliance is an advantageUnderstanding of controlling is desirableVery good written and spoken EnglishGerman skills are an advantageStrong communication and leadership skillsStructured, analytical and independent way of workingWe offer:A responsible management position with an international focusClose cooperation with Asset Procurement, Sales Support and ControllingComprehensive training – initial focus on finance processesCollaboration on cross-departmental business projectsInternational travel (approx. 1–2 trips per year within the EU and to our shared service location in Serbia – valid passport required)Attractive remuneration packageCompany car at management level​As an international company operating in a dynamic market environment, Avnet offers exciting development opportunities, short decision-making processes and a strongly networked working environment within the EMEA region.
