key responsibilities
/h3 pAs a Data Governance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, security, and compliance of our clients' data assets, as well as driving the development, implementation and promotion of data governance and quality frameworks and strategies. /p pMore concretely, you will help our client on the following topics: /p ul liDevelop, implement, and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. /li liEstablish and enforce data quality standards and processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across all systems and platforms. /li liCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define data governance roles and responsibilities, and promote a culture of data stewardship and accountability. /li liConduct data governance assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and mitigate risks related to data management. /li liOversee the implementation of data governance tools and technologies to support data lineage, metadata management, and data quality monitoring. /li liProvide guidance and support to business units on data governance matters. /li liServe as a subject matter expert on data governance principles and practices, and deliver training sessions to educate stakeholders on data governance concepts and requirements. /li liManage and deliver Data quality, governance and literacy programs and projects. /li liStay abreast of emerging trends and developments in data governance, data privacy, and regulatory compliance, and ensure that our data governance practices remain current and effective. /li liAnd support in growing our Data Management Strategy practice, and coaching junior data strategists. /li /ul h3Skills and attributes for success /h3 ul liA Master’s Degree in Economics, (Business) Engineering, Sciences, IT, Computer Sciences or Statistics /li liA minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with at least 1 year in coaching junior resources and delivering data projects/program. /li liStrong understanding of data governance frameworks, methodologies, and industry standards (e.g., DAMA, GDPR). /li liProficiency in data management tools and technologies, such as data cataloging tools, data quality tools, and data governance platforms. /li liStrong affinity with, and interest in new trends in AI Data (including Data Governance and quality). /li liHave a good understanding on data regulations and their impacts is a plus. /li liStrong team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy. /li liA keen interest to learn more about the Financial Services market in Belgium and beyond. /li liExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. /li liFluency in Dutch and/or French, with a proficient level of business English. /li liKnowledge of relational databases, SQL is a must. /li liHands-on experience with any of the following Data Governance tools is a strong asset: Collibra, Informatica, Precisely. /li liAs you grow, you will take more responsibilities within the practice, manage multiple and complex projects, to ultimately take more senior roles, be the trusted advisor of the clients and the coach for the other consultants. /li /ul h3What
