You bridge business requirements, regulatory constraints, and technical implementation. You analyse notarial workflows, model domain behavior, and deliver specifications that guide frontend, backend, and integration teams. You work autonomously within the established analysis framework, with guidance from senior analysts for complex cross-domain topics.
Key Responsibilities:
Domain Modelling
— Model formality behavior against standard contracts, shared base types and state machines.
Requirements Analysis
— Elicit, analyse and structure functional requirements for notarial formalities.
Specification Delivery
— Produce clear user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, story maps and functional domain contracts.
API & Data
— Define and manage
OpenAPI/AsyncAPI
specifications; document data flows, edge cases and compliance-relevant behavior.
Stakeholder Engagement
— Validate requirements with business experts (Dutch/English or French/English) and communicate domain concepts to technical teams in English.
Delivery Support
— Refine backlog, support developers/testers, clarify acceptance criteria, and validate delivered functionality.
Required Skills:
Requirements elicitation & functional decomposition
Functional domain modelling (contract-driven services)
Clear, testable specification writing
Ability to read and reason about
REST API contracts (OpenAPI)
Dependency mapping across domains
Facilitation, decision-making, and ambiguity resolution
Strong collaboration and peer-review mindset
Required Qualifications:
3–5 years as functional/business analyst in software delivery
Strong command of
user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules
Comfortable with
REST API contracts and data models
Proven experience translating regulated/legal/financial processes into specifications
Languages: Dutch + English or French + English (hard requirement)
Experience in multi-stakeholder environments
Autonomous, delivery-focused, comfortable in mission-critical environments
Nice to Have:
AI-assisted analysis or specification-driven development
Experience with distributed teams
Data governance / master data management
Experience in Belgian notarial, legal, real-estate or financial domains
Domain-driven design familiarity
GDPR / NIS2 awareness
Environment & Ways of Working:
The xlxgzvr duration of the mission is two years starting with the first assignment till the end of the year.
Agile/Scrum squads with architects, analysts, tech leads, UX/UI and developers
On-site Brussels: several days/week during ramp-up; then minimum 2 fixed days/week
Legally regulated, mission-critical notarial domain
±50 bounded-context services (parties, assets, real estate, succession, taxation, legal registers…)
English for technical artefacts; Dutch/French for stakeholder engagement
Delivery-focused mindset: align with decisions, escalate when needed, commit once agreed
Drive specification quality: clarity, testability, compliance alignment
