Senior Java Full Stack Developer | Brussels, Belgium | On-Site Contract
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join Agile development teams working on a large-scale digital transformation programme. You will contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of business-critical applications while collaborating closely with product owners, analysts, and fellow developers. The successful candidate will thrive in an Agile environment and have strong expertise in Java, Spring, Angular, and modern software engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise web applications Design and implement scalable backend services using Java and Spring Develop responsive front-end applications using Angular and Bootstrap Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives) Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices Write high-quality, testable, and maintainable code Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing best practices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions Perform code reviews and contribute to technical improvements Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications Contribute to software architecture and technical design discussions Required Skills & Experience Backend Development Java Spring Framework Hibernate JPA REST APIs JUnit Mockito Frontend Development Angular Bootstrap Databases PostgreSQL MongoDB DevOps & Integration Docker Microservices Architecture Kafka RabbitMQ Keycloak Development Practices Agile Scrum Test-Driven Development (TDD) Continuous Integration and Delivery Software Design Best Practices Collaboration Tools JIRA Confluence Preferred Experience Experience delivering applications within Agile teams Experience working on digital transformation programmes Public sector experience is an advantage Experience developing secure enterprise applications Strong understanding of modern software architecture and design patterns Language Requirements French – Native Proficiency Contract Details
