Your focus is production-grade backend engineering: designing systems that reliably move data from “source → validated → served,” and keep working under real-world conditions. /ph3What you’ll do /h3h3Build backend services that run in production /h3ulliDesign and implement bscalable backend services /b (Python, APIs, internal services). /liliWrite clean, testable code and improve existing architecture where needed. /li /ulh3Build and evolve data flows (core) /h3ulliEnsure bdata correctness and traceability /b (versioning, lineage, retries, idempotency, backfills). /liliImprove throughput and latency of critical flows; handle spikes and partial failures gracefully. /liliBuild tooling around flows: observability dashboards, failure handling, replay/backfill utilities. /liliBuild and maintain connectors for btime series energy water data /b and related metadata. /liliWork with customers/partners to troubleshoot and stabilize integrations. /li /ulh3Collaborate with data/AI without being ML-first /h3ulliCollaborate with data/ML teammates so the backend supports model deployment and feature delivery. /liliTurn product requirements into robust backend implementations (APIs, workflows, pipelines). /li /ulh3Job requirements /h3h3Must-have: strong backend development /h3ulliSolid experience building production backends in bPython /b (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and similar) /liliStrong software engineering fundamentals: architecture, testing, CI/CD habits, code reviews, performance, code ownership reliability mindset. /liliExperience designing and operating bdata flows /b (or event-driven workflows) in production. /li /ulh3Nice-to-have: time series + energy efficiency /h3ulliHands-on experience with btime series data /b (processing, validation, edge cases). /liliExperience or strong affinity with benergy efficiency / buildings / energy monitoring / utilities / IoT /b contexts. /liliExperience with streaming or message-based systems (queues/events), or batch pipelines with backfills. /liliCloud experience (AWS/GCP), containers, infrastructure-as-code. /liliExperience improving operational maturity: SLOs, alerting, runbooks, incident reviews. /li /ulh3bDon’t check every box? /b /h3pSmart people don’t always follow straight lines.
