h3About the Role /h3 pThere's a gap between a clever AI demo and a system the whole team actually runs on, and you're the one who closes it. /p pAt Suspicious Antwerp, AI is already part of how we work, but it grew fast: tools connected to tools, data in too many places. We need someone who brings it all together into one unified database with a clear architecture, and keeps building on top of it. /p pNot the next vibe coder, but a full stack AI engineer. You use AI to build faster, but you understand every line that ships. You'll be the one with the deepest technical expertise in-house, which means real ownership, real impact, and the independence to do things properly. /p h3What you'll be doing /h3 pHere's what the job looks like, and what you should already be able to do. If you recognise yourself in most of it, we want to talk. /p h3Build internal tooling, from agents to dashboards /h3 ul liYou work with Git daily: branches, pull requests and resolving merge conflicts are routine /li liYou build a web app from zero to live yourself: frontend (e.g. React or Next.js), backend (e.g. Node or Python) and database /li /ul h3Bring our data together in one unified database /h3 ul liYou design a SQL database yourself (e.g. PostgreSQL): which tables, which relations, which indexes /li liYou write queries with joins and aggregations across orders, products and stock without breaking a sweat /li liYou've built a data pipeline that automatically fetches, cleans and stores data every day /li /ul h3Connect our e-commerce, support, logistics and advertising systems /h3 ul liYou've worked with APIs and webhooks, including rate limits, pagination and OAuth /li /ul h3Own hosting, deployment and security /h3 ul liYou set up a server yourself (e.g. AWS Lightsail or another VPS), install what's needed and put an app live /li liYou understand what Cloudflare does for you (DNS, SSL, caching, security) and can configure it /li /ul h3Build AI that runs in production, not just in a demo /h3 ul liYou've built an application that uses an LLM API (Claude, OpenAI or similar) and ran it in production /li liYou know when to prompt, when to use retrieval (RAG) and when fine-tuning is worth it /li liYou've built or connected an MCP server /li liYou know how to protect an AI application against prompt injection and keep customer data safe /li /ul h3Translate business needs into working solutions, and in time lead a small team of developers /h3 h3What you bring /h3 ul liProfessional experience as a developer, including AI in a real application /li liA degree in computer science, data science or engineering, or the ability to show you build at that level /li liA feel for the Suspicious Antwerp brand /li liYou live in Belgium and work from our HQ in Antwerp /li liFluent Dutch and English /li /ul h3Nice to have, no dealbreaker /h3 ul liExperience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify /li liExperience setting up evals to measure whether your AI gets better or worse /li /ul
