pWe are working with a leading organisation seeking a Data Engineer to join its growing data team. This is a hands‑on role focused on building, optimising and maintaining an Azure‑based data platform that supports analytics and reporting across the business. /p pYou’ll play a key role in developing scalable data pipelines, enhancing data quality, and ensuring business users have access to reliable, high‑quality datasets. This position would suit someone who enjoys execution‑focused engineering work and wants to contribute directly to the evolution of a modern cloud data platform. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign, develop and optimise data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics /li liBuild and maintain robust data storage solutions within Azure Data Lake and Synapse /li liDevelop high‑performance SQL transformations and data processing workflows /li liMonitor platform performance and continuously improve reliability, scalability and efficiency /li liEnsure data quality, integrity and consistency across the data landscape /li liWork closely with analysts and business stakeholders to deliver trusted datasets for reporting and analytics /li liSupport data governance, security and compliance initiatives /li liIdentify opportunities to improve existing processes, data flows and platform capabilities /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul li5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ideally within a Microsoft Azure environment /li liStrong hands‑on SQL development and optimisation skills /li liExperience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines /li liProven expertise with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory /li liExperience working with Azure Data Lake or similar cloud‑based storage solutions /li liGood understanding of data modelling, schema design and database concepts /li liExperience handling large‑scale datasets and developing scalable data solutions /li liStrong analytical mindset with a practical, delivery‑focused approach /li liAble to challenge existing solutions and contribute ideas for continuous improvement /li liExcellent stakeholder communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non‑technical teams /li liFluent English communication skills /li liDutch language skills are essential /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liExperience with Python for data processing and automation /li liExposure to data governance and data quality frameworks /li liFamiliarity with cloud security and compliance best practices /li liExperience operating within enterprise‑scale data environment /li /ul h3What’s on Offer /h3 ul liOpportunity to work on a modern Azure data platform /li liExposure to large‑scale data and analytics initiatives /li liCollaborative and highly skilled data team /li liLong‑term career development and progression opportunities /li liFlexible working environment with a hybrid working model /li /ul
