Antwerp Employment: Full-Time/Permanent About the Opportunity: An innovative high-tech engineering company based near Antwerp is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its growing R&D team. Working on complex, real-time software solutions for advanced communication and data processing systems, you'll be part of a collaborative engineering environment where you'll contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge technology used in highly demanding applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-performance real-time software applications using C/C++ on Linux.
- Design and implement Linux system software, including kernel device drivers and communication protocols.
- Contribute to software architecture and technical design across multiple product platforms.
- Develop monitoring, control and user interface applications.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust software solutions.
- Produce clear technical documentation and interface specifications.
- Represent the engineering team at technical meetings or industry events where required.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent commercial experience).
- Strong commercial experience developing software in C/C++ on Linux.
- Experience building high-performance, multi-threaded real-time applications.
- POSIX threads
- Synchronisation mechanisms
- Shared memory
- Experience with high-speed data transfer technologies such as PCIe, DMA or DPDK would be advantageous.
- Exposure to modern web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular or similar frameworks is beneficial.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. What's on Offer:
