Description: Ombudsfin is recruiting a Legal Counsel to join their 15-person team dedicated to resolving disputes between financial institutions and their clients (consumers and businesses). The role involves mediating between parties to reach amicable settlements or drafting legal opinions and recommendations based on Belgian law and equity.
Eligibility: Applicants must possess a Master’s degree in Belgian Law and demonstrate thorough knowledge of consumer, civil, and financial law. Proficiency in Dutch is essential, with a good command of French and English being highly desirable. A few years of experience in the financial sector as a lawyer or legal counsel is considered an asset.
