Senior .NET Developer | Ghent | Public Sector IT

We are looking for a Senior .NET Developer to join a major application modernization initiative within the Public Sector domain.
The project involves building a central .NET Competence Center and modernizing 115+ .NET applications toward a cloud-native platform.
Location: Ghent, Belgium
Work model: At least 2 days onsite per week
Start: ASAP
Engagement: until end of 2026, Full-time preferred; part-time possible
Languages: Dutch Fluent/C1
Key Skills
• Strong C# / .NET Core / .NET 6+ experience
• Application modernization & legacy maintenance
• Docker + Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Cloud-native & 12-Factor principles
• OAuth2 / OpenID Connect (OIDC) / BFF
• REST API development & integrations
• CI/CD, GitHub Actions & Infrastructure as Code
• SonarQube, security scanning & observability
• Automated testing with Playwright or Cypress
• Razor / Blazor is a strong plus
• Agile/Scrum & code review experience
• GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools is a plus
We are particularly xlxgzvr interested in senior .NET engineers who have hands-on experience with cloud-native modernization, containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift and modern application security.
