As a Trade Compliance Specialist at Chemours, you will become one of the key customs and trade compliance experts supporting our EMEA operations. This is not a role focused on processing declarations. Instead, you will help shape and strengthen how a global manufacturing company manages compliance, risk, governance and regulatory excellence across international trade activities.
You will join a highly specialized team at an exciting moment. Chemours is transforming its customs operating model, moving declaration activities to external providers while building a stronger, more mature trade compliance function. This creates a unique opportunity to influence processes, support strategic decisions, and become a trusted advisor across business units, supply chain teams and external authorities.

What you will do
In this role, you will provide expert guidance on customs and trade compliance matters across EMEA. You will work closely with business stakeholders, logistics providers and customs brokers to ensure compliance while supporting efficient cross-border operations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on customs valuation, tariff classification and origin matters
- Supporting customs audits, investigations and authority interactions
- Monitoring and improving trade compliance processes and controls
- Overseeing external customs brokers and service providers
- Identifying compliance risks and coordinating mitigation measures
- Translating regulatory changes into practical business guidance
- Supporting internal audits and governance activities
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the trade compliance landscape
This fits you
You enjoy solving complex compliance challenges and translating legislation into practical actions. You combine strong technical expertise with a pragmatic mindset and are comfortable working across multiple stakeholders in an international environment.
You likely bring:
- At least 5 years of hands-on customs or trade compliance experience
- Experience within industry, customs brokerage, freight forwarding or logistics
- Knowledge of EU customs legislation and international trade frameworks
- Experience with customs audits and interactions with customs authorities
- Knowledge of customs valuation, classification and origin determination
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English and Dutch
Experience with export controls, sanctions, SAP, CBAM, F-Gas regulations or highly regulated industries would be considered an advantage.

- Salary range between €61.000, - and €95.000, - (midpoint: ~ €76.000)
