We are looking for someone who does more than keep the books in order. In this role, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day financial administration of EPCON Belgium and help ensure that our accounting and financial processes run smoothly, accurately and on time. You enjoy creating structure, take ownership of your responsibilities and naturally look for ways to make things work better. You combine financial accuracy with a practical mindset and are comfortable questioning existing processes when you see an opportunity to simplify or automate them. Key Responsabilities

Manage the day-to-day financial administration and ensure that accounting records are complete, accurate and up to date.

Process, monitor and follow up on incoming customer payments and outstanding receivables.

Prepare and execute outgoing payments and ensure their correct processing.

Manage and monitor VAT administration and other relevant tax obligations.

Reconcile VAT accounts with submitted VAT returns and investigate discrepancies.

Manage and follow up on Intrastat reporting requirements.

Support the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing processes.

Prepare financial information and documentation for internal and external audits.

Work with our external accountant and other financial partners to ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance.

Identify opportunities to make financial processes simpler, more efficient and more reliable.

Contribute to the further automation and digitalisation of EPCON's financial administration.

Support payroll administration and collaboration with our social secretariat where relevant.

Take ownership of other administrative or operational tasks when capacity allows.

Educational background and skills

A degree in Accounting Administration, Finance, Accountancy or an equivalent field.

3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting or financial administration.

Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Strong practical experience with VAT administration and Belgian financial and tax requirements. Intrastat and other tax-related obligation are a plus

Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.

Accurate, structured and analytical, with strong attention to detail.

Proactive and independent, with a strong sense of ownership.

Keen to improve, digitalise and automate financial processes.

Experience with Exact Online and payroll administration are a plus.

Experience supporting financial audits and month-end or year-end closing processes is a plus.

Experience working in an international or project-based organisation is a plus.

Based in or within reasonable commuting distance of Antwerp, Belgium.
