Industrial Controller | Strategic Finance Business Partner | Ghent

Ready to step into a role where you'll influence business decisions instead of simply reporting the numbers?

I'm partnering with a well-established international organisation that is looking to strengthen its finance team with an Industrial Controller.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in industrial controlling, manufacturing finance, or product costing who enjoys working closely with operations and wants to make a real commercial impact.

As the link between Finance and Operations, you'll provide the financial insights that drive performance, improve profitability, and support strategic decision-making across the business.

What you'll be doing

  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Management to improve business performance
  • Analyse production costs, margins, operational KPIs, and financial performance
  • Manage and improve product costing, standard costing, and inventory valuation
  • Investigate cost variances and identify opportunities to improve profitability
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, business cases, and investment decisions
  • Improve reporting, financial processes, and ERP data quality
  • Deliver meaningful financial insights that influence operational and strategic decisions

Who we're looking for:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Around 5-7 years of experience in industrial controlling, manufacturing finance, product costing, or a similar analytical finance role
  • Strong understanding of costing methodologies, inventory management, and operational finance
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is a strong advantage)
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn complex data into practical business recommendations
  • Fluent in Dutch and English

Why this opportunity stands out:

This is far more than a traditional controlling position. You'll be a trusted finance partner to the business, working alongside operational leaders to improve performance, optimise processes, and support key strategic decisions.

You’ll join an international organisation that offers a collaborative environment, short decision-making lines, and genuine opportunities to take ownership and drive improvements.

What's on offer?

  • Competitive salary package
  • Company car with fuel or charging card
  • Group & hospitalisation insurance
  • Laptop & mobile phone
  • 32 days of annual leave
  • Ongoing learning and development opportunities
  • A role with real autonomy, visibility, and long-term career growth
