Job Description

As Senior Fund Accountant, you will take responsibility for the accounting and operational oversight of a portfolio of alternative investment funds.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage the accounting of Private Equity, Real Estate, Venture Capital and other alternative investment funds
• Take ownership of day-to-day fund accounting activities across your assigned portfolio
• Prepare and review NAV calculations, accounting schedules and periodic financial reporting
• Produce annual and interim financial statements in accordance with applicable requirements
• Maintain complete and accurate accounting records for Luxembourg investment structures
• Handle accounting for investments, capital activity, expenses, accruals and other fund transactions
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory and investor reporting
• Support annual audit processes and liaise directly with external auditors
• Prepare and coordinate Luxembourg VAT and tax filings with relevant advisers and authorities
• Contribute to the preparation and organisation of board and shareholder meetings
• Work closely with investment managers, investors, banks, custodians and other external service providers
• Investigate and resolve accounting or operational discrepancies affecting the funds
• Coordinate internally with teams involved in the NAV control and review process
• Ensure information flows efficiently between accounting, corporate, tax and operational stakeholders
• Contribute to the development and structuring of the firm's growing alternative funds activity
• Participate in the implementation of processes required for the future regulated operating model

The Successful Applicant

You are an experienced Luxembourg fund accounting professional who combines strong technical knowledge with the autonomy required to manage sophisticated alternative investment structures.
You ideally bring:

• 5-8+ years of experience in fund accounting
• Strong hands-on experience with alternative investment funds
• Solid exposure to Private Equity and Real Estate funds
• Experience producing and reviewing NAVs and financial statements
• Good understanding of the complete fund accounting lifecycle
• Knowledge of Luxembourg investment vehicles and fund structures
• Familiarity with the Luxembourg regulatory environment, including AIFM, CSSF and PSF requirements
• Previous exposure to complex or less traditional assets; experience with digital or crypto assets would be particularly valuable
• Ability to manage a portfolio independently and prioritise competing deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Confidence dealing directly with clients, auditors, investment managers and other service providers
• A collaborative approach combined with a high level of personal ownership
• Fluent English and French
• Any additional European language would be an advantage
