We are seeking a talented and motivated software developer to join our data science and software development team. The primary responsibility of this role is to design, develop and implement in-house software solutions. You collaborate with various stakeholders to fine tune user requirements and functional specifications. You design software solutions using a MicroService based software architecture. You write server side applications using event or request driver architectures. You write automated unit, integration and end to end tests. You mentor junior software developers and provide constructive feedback during code review sessions. Key responsibilitiesconsult stakeholders, collect and document user requirements and functional specificationstranslate requirements into software architecture (you will be assisted by a senior software developer or architect)develop scalable, performant and reliable software solutionswrite clean, maintainable and efficient codementor junior software developers, provide technical guidance and supportconduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standardsidentify and resolve technical issues and challengesstay up to date with latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our in-house solutions remain cutting edge Skills & qualificationsMaster degree in computer science, engineering or related field5 years of work experienceproven track record of developing Python applicationsprofound understanding of threading, multi-processing and asynchronous programminggood understanding of software design patterns and Object Oriented programmingexperience with various Python web frameworks (Fast API, Flask, etc.)experience with writing test code (PyTest)experience with message bus technologies (Kafka, Rabbit MQ), caching systems (Redis) and relational and non-relational databases (Postgres, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, S3, etc.)experience with DevOps (Jenkins, OpenShift), Docker containers and Version Control (GIT, GitLab)basic notions of network topologies and their impact on software designstrong communication skills, both verbally and in writingfluent in English and Dutchanalytical mindset, pragmatic problem solverability to collaborate in cross functional teamsprevious experience in the pharmaceutical or other strongly regulated industry is a Plusa
