About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join the logistics team of a leading company in the Food & Beverage industry in West Flanders.

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and optimising daily transport operations, ensuring products are delivered efficiently, on time and in line with customer requirements. You will work closely with warehouse, production, customer service, carriers and internal logistics teams.

This is a 12-month freelance assignment with a hands-on operational focus and the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of the transport planning process.

Your responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily transport activities across Belgium and surrounding regions

• Optimise transport routes, loads, capacity and delivery schedules

• Coordinate closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure transport readiness

• Monitor deliveries and proactively resolve delays or operational issues

• Maintain accurate transport and shipment information in SAP

• Communicate with carriers, drivers, customers and internal stakeholders

• Follow up on transport performance, costs and service levels

• Ensure compliance with agreed delivery windows and customer requirements

• Handle transport-related administration and documentation

• Identify opportunities to improve planning efficiency, service levels and transport costs

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and supply chain function

Your profile

• xlxgzvr Several years of experience in transport planning, logistics or distribution

• Experience within Food & Beverage, FMCG or a similar fast-moving environment is highly desirable

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP

• Good understanding of transport planning, routing and carrier management

• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with multiple stakeholders

• Fluent in Dutch and English

• Available for a 12-month freelance assignment

• Based in or willing to commute to West Flanders
