The successful candidate will own technical decisions, guide developers and ensure secure, scalable solutions are delivered successfully into production. /p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liDefine and maintain solution architecture across applications, integrations, data and security. /li liLead technical delivery, backlog refinement, estimations and technical risk management. /li liTranslate business requirements into actionable technical solutions. /li liMentor developers, conduct code reviews and resolve technical blockers. /li liEstablish engineering standards for bGit, CI/CD, automated testing and release management /b. /li liCollaborate with business, product, infrastructure and security stakeholders. /li liMaintain architecture documentation, including bSolution Architecture Documents (SADs), Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), diagrams and interface contracts /b. /li liIdentify and mitigate security, performance, scalability and operational risks. /li /ul h3Required Skills Experience /h3 ul lib8+ years of software engineering experience /b, including at least b3 years in technical leadership, solution architecture or lead development /b. /li liProven experience delivering solutions from architecture and design through bproduction deployment and operational handover /b. /li liStrong experience with bMicrosoft Azure /b or an equivalent public cloud platform, including hybrid environments. /li liStrong hands-on expertise in bJava or Python /b; the ability to review and guide development in the other language is expected. /li liSolid bDevOps and CI/CD /b experience, including bGit, automated testing, build pipelines and release management /b. /li liStrong understanding of bsecurity by design /b, including identity and access management, secrets management, least privilege, encryption and data protection. /li liProven ability to lead and coach development teams while remaining directly involved in technical delivery. /li liExcellent communication skills in bEnglish /b. /li liAvailability to work onsite in bBrussels at least 3 days per week /b. /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liAzure certifications such as bAZ-204 or AZ-305 /b, or equivalent practical experience. /li liHands-on experience with bDocker, Kubernetes or AKS /b. /li liInfrastructure as Code experience with bBicep, OpenTofu or Terraform /b. /li liExperience delivering solutions in bBelgian public-sector or regulated environments /b. /li /ul h3Important /h3 pWe are seeking a bhands-on architect and technical leader /b, not an advisory-only architect. Candidates must demonstrate personal ownership of technical decisions, development practices, CI/CD pipelines and successful production delivery. /p
