Within the Data Foundations teams, we work in a large-scale data environment to structure, model and integrate data across the company.
As an Analytics Engineer, you play a crucial part in bridging business needs and technical solutions by translating data requirements into detailed solution designs & models and guide external Data Engineers towards effective delivery. You also actively explore and apply Agentic AI to elevate analytics capabilities.
Your Responsibilities as an Analytics EngineerCollaborate with Data Product Managers, Analytics Engineers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and assess impactTranslate requirements into solution designs and end to end data flowsPresent and review solution designs with Data Architects and Tech LeadsConduct source-to-target analyses (S2T), identifying gaps in source data and documenting required transformations using Agentic AI. Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and cost-efficient, embedding quality by design.
Explore, build, and maintain Agentic AI solutionsDefine data quality checks and maintain clear, reusable documentationCollaborate with Data Engineers during delivery. Handshake solution designs with external Data Engineers, confirm readiness for refinement and perform intermediate reviews during delivery.
Our Ideal Analytics EngineerStrong background in data (Computer Science or equivalent education/experience) within large-scale, cloud environmentsHands-on with Snowflake, AWS, DBT and Dagster (Spark is a plus).
Deep knowledge of SQL (Scala is a strong plus) and experience in data modelling (conceptual & logical)Familiar with (or excited about) AI Agents and their application in data workflows Experienced in translating business processes into data requirements Ability to interpret complex data relations and identify gaps or inconsistencies.
Strong communication skills to effectively present insights and recommendations to (business) stakeholders. Structured, analytical, solution oriented and proactive with the confidence to challenge stakeholders Comfortable working in agile teams and with external partners (offshore)Fluent in English, Dutch or French is a plus.
