A family-owned civil engineering contractor working on earthworks, road construction, and sewerage projects for public authorities, industry, and private clients.
The company is VCA** certified and has its own materials and processing facilities, trucks, and modern equipment.
Number of people needed: 2, working as one team
Work area: Province of Antwerp, Belgium; public road works
Preferred accommodation area: Province of Antwerp / Kempen. Housing is not provided.
Start date: around early to mid-October 2026
Duration and end date: Long-term opportunity; no end date specified.
Rate per hour: €31.00 per hour for the self-employed subcontractor, billed per hour worked, excluding VAT. Weekly payment was indicated; invoicing and payment terms are to be confirmed.
Engagement: Self-employed subcontractor with a company registration number.
Join a team of two carrying out road construction and street paving across the province of Antwerp.
You will help prepare foundations and install road edges and paving on public worksites. The exact surface materials and any machine-operation requirements are still to be confirmed.
Daily Tasks
Build and rebuild streets and roads on public worksites.
Prepare foundations by excavating, leveling, and compacting.
Install kerbs, edge strips, and paving.
Coordinate daily work with your teammate on active road construction sites.
Working conditions
Approximately 40 hours per week.
A 9-hour workday may be possible.
Weeks of 50 or more hours are not available; the stated maximum is 45 hours per week.
Saturday work
No Saturday work.
Tools
The subcontractor supplies basic hand tools, including a shovel.
Work setting
On-site work on public road construction projects in the province of Antwerp.
Requirements
Experience in road construction or street building.
Self-employed status and your own company registration number.
Experience with paving and kerbs is an advantage.
Operating a mini excavator, loader, or plate compactor is an advantage.
Certificates: VCA or relevant machine certificates
