Our client, a leading organization in the environmental and water management sector, is looking for a senior developer to drive the evolution of their digital platforms. This role involves building modern web applications on cloud infrastructure while contributing to both customer-facing product teams and central shared service initiatives. The project focuses on developing data-driven applications and implementing innovative technical roadmaps within a cloud-native ecosystem.

Develop and maintain scalable web applications using modern full-stack technologies. Deploy and manage containerized services within an Azure Kubernetes Service environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build data spaces and connectivity tools for regional stakeholders. Support the design of automated test frameworks and the integration of AI-driven development roadmaps. Conduct technical research and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new features for organization-wide rollout.

You have 8+ years of experience in backend development with

Java

(specifically versions 17 or 21). You possess 8+ years of frontend expertise with

Angular

and

HTML5 . You bring 5+ years of experience with

Spring ,

Spring Boot , and

Hibernate . You're experienced with software lifecycle tools including

Git ,

Maven , and

JUnit . You possess 3+ years of experience working with

RESTful API

and

Microservices

architecture. You have practical experience with containerization using

Docker

and

Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) . You have advanced knowledge of

Agile

methodologies, ideally within a

SAFe

context. You possess a proactive and solution-oriented mindset with an interest in AI-assisted programming. You are native or bilingual in

Dutch

with professional working proficiency in

English .

Nice to Haves

Experience with

Azure DevOps

and

Node.js . Knowledge of

GIS

and

GIS data types . Familiarity with

UX Design & Research

principles. Knowledge of

Reactive Programming

or

RxJs . Experience with

MS SQL Server

and

OAuth .
