Project Manager

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager based in Leuven, Belgium. What is your role? The Project Manager is responsible for leading cross-functional projects and driving business transformation initiatives across Nikon Metrology Europe. The role ensures projects are delivered in a structured, timely and sustainable manner while supporting stakeholder alignment, organizational change and business process improvement. The role supports both business and technical projects. In addition, the Project Manager acts as owner of the commercial Quality Management System within Nikon Metrology Europe, ensuring that quality processes, certifications, audits and compliance requirements are effectively maintained and continuously improved. The Project Manager contributes to the continuous improvement of project management practices, governance, communication and change management across the organization. What are your key areas of responsibility? Project Management
- Lead cross-functional projects from initiation through implementation and stabilization
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and success criteria
- Establish appropriate project governance and reporting structures
- Coordinate project activities across departments, regions and stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies
- Escalate concerns and decision points in a structured and timely manner
- Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed objectives and expected business outcomes Technical Project Support
- Support technical and customer-related projects requiring coordination across functions
- Ensure planning, communication and stakeholder alignment are maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- Monitor progress against project milestones and customer commitments
- Support project teams in identifying and mitigating project risks
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders Quality Management & Compliance
- Own the commercial Quality Management System and ensure its continued effectiveness and compliance with applicable standards
- Coordinate internal and external quality audits and ensure timely follow-up of findings and improvement actions
- Collaborate with quality experts within the Nikon organization to ensure alignment with quality standards, best practices and certification requirements
- Promote a culture of quality awareness, compliance and continuous improvement across the commercial organization
- Ensure sustainability registrations, certification portals and tender-related compliance documentation are maintained and kept up to date
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes, governance and compliance frameworks and coordinate the implementation of improvement actions
- Act as primary point of contact for commercial quality matters and coordinate support from quality specialists where required Change Management
- Support the implementation of new systems, processes and ways of working
- Develop and execute stakeholder communication plans
- Facilitate adoption of project outcomes within the organization
- Organize training and knowledge transfer activities where required
- Help ensure sustainable implementation of project deliverables Governance & Reporting
- Prepare project status reports and management presentations
- Maintain project documentation and decision logs
- Monitor project KPIs, budgets, timelines and deliverables
- Support prioritization and portfolio planning activities
- Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement of project delivery practices Continuous Improvement
- Promote a culture of ownership, accountability and collaboration
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve efficiency
- Support the development of project management standards, templates and best practices

- The person must be problem solving What are your required qualifications and competencies?
- Master's degree or equivalent through experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, business transformation, process improvement or related roles
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects
- Experience with ERP, CRM or other major business system implementations is strongly preferred
- Experience within international manufacturing,
