Damien Foundation is a Belgian non-profit organisation that operates in 13 countries. Damien Foundation provides holistic medical care to people affected by tuberculosis and skin-related neglected tropical diseases such as leprosy and leishmaniasis.

Damien Foundation is looking for a Corporate & Major Donor Manager.

You will lead the full corporate and major donor journeys - from identifying and engaging prospects to securing funding, managing partnerships, and ensuring long-term donor retention.

YOUR ROLE

  • Develop and implement a corporate funding and major donor strategy that that secures the organization’s long-term financial sustainability while supporting its strategic growth objectives.
  • Build and manage a diversified portfolio of corporate partners and major donors to maximize long-term funding, resilience, and impact.
  • Design donor retention and conversion strategies to strengthen engagement and increase long-term support.

Business Development & Donor Acquisition

  • Identify, qualify, and secure new corporate funding opportunities and major donor prospects to build a strong fundraising pipeline.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and partnership opportunities that attract new supporters and increase organizational visibility.
  • Lead targeted outreach, networking, and engagement initiatives to drive revenue growth and strategic partnerships.

Relationship Management & Stewardship

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners and high-value donors through personalized engagement and stewardship.
  • Organize targeted events, campaigns, and relationship-building activities to deepen donor and partner commitment.
  • Deepen existing partnerships and increase their long-term value and impact.

Proposal Development & Partnership Management

  • Lead the development of funding proposals, partnership offers, and donor engagement materials.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders throughout proposal, negotiation, and contracting processes to secure strategic funding agreements.
  • Oversee the implementation of partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

Performance, Compliance & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Ensure accurate donor reporting, partnership documentation, and compliance with contractual and GDPR requirements.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and maintain high standards of donor data management and transparency.
  • Collaborate with health programmes, finance & administration, communications, and leadership teams to deliver donor commitments and maximize partnership impact.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have a master’s degree in marketing, Sales, Economics, Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate fundraising, business development, or partnership management, with a proven track record of securing and managing high-value partnerships. Experience in the non-profit or social impact sector is an asset.
  • You are a native French or Dutch speaker, with professional proficiency in the other national language and excellent written and spoken English.
  • You have strong relationship-building and networking skills.
  • You have excellent communication, presentation, proposal writing, and negotiation skills. Strategic thinking combined with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
  • You have strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • You have the ability to identify, develop, and convert new funding opportunities.
  • You have the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • You have a high level of integrity, professionalism, and donor-centricity.
