· The Technical Support Data Engineer is responsible for the technical quality, architectural alignment, and enforcement of standards within a Data Engineering team. This role acts as the primary technical reference and serves as the main interface between the Data Engineers and the Data Platform Architects.Â
· The selected candidate must bring a level of expertise allowing direct intervention on critical components of the Azure Data ecosystem. In addition, this person will also get tasks to implement new pipelines and maintain existing ones.Â
· Serve as the technical authority for Data Engineers within a data team.Â
· Conduct pulls request validations, peer reviews, and ensure full compliance with data engineering standards.Â
· Provide coaching and guidance to junior Data Engineers.Â
· Contribute to the continuous improvement and maturity of data engineering practices within the organisation.Â
· Act as the single point of contact between Data Platform Architects and engineering teams.Â
· Translate architectural guidelines into actionable technical instructions for engineering teams.Â
· Recommend alternative technical solutions depending on the targeted DWH layer (ingestion, transformation, consumption…).Â
· Participate in the definition, evolution, and continuous improvement of the data platform and the data engineering standards.Â
· Provide structured feedback from field experience to refine practices and tooling.Â
· Contribute to performance optimization, data quality, and operational reliability. Required

skills:

· Language: English fluent + French fluent (Dutch is a bonus)Â
· Minimum 5 years’ experienceÂ
· Natural leadership and ability to guide multiple teams.Â
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, adapted to technical and non-technical audiences.Â

· Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines within the Azure ecosystem.Â

· PySparkÂ
· SQLÂ
· Ability to support the Data Modeler to ensure robust, scalable, and well-modelled data structures, with strong expertise in dimensional modelling (star schema, DWH concepts).
