We are looking to recruit a Finance Accountant to support Clinigen's Belgian based operations.

Reporting to the Financial controller, the Finance Accountant is a key role within the group finance team. You'll have responsibility for all matters relating to Management Accounting: accounting and reporting, internal customer support, you'll also be responsible for the preparation and of the month end and year end close. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week spent in the Mont-Saint Guibert office.

Ways to add value:

As Finance Accountant you'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting external audits and acting as the key contact for auditors.
  • Preparing audit schedules and year-end statutory accounts.
  • Ensuring compliance with local GAAP, IFRS, or other statutory reporting requirements.
  • Coordinating audit timelines and resolving audit queries efficiently.
  • Performing month end for all aspects of the management accounts
  • Ensuring financial processing and authorisation procedures are applied in accordance with approved procedures
  • Assisting in the preparation of statutory financial statements for relevant entity in accordance with Local Accounting Standards
  • Preparing tax related declarations e.g. VAT, Intrastat and Corporate tax
  • Supporting initiatives to obtain tax subsidies

About You:

  • Degree educated in a related subject
  • Demonstrable Audit experience
  • Successful track record gained in a similar environment
  • Knowledge of in-house finance processes and practices advantageous
  • Advanced Excel
  • Business level English & French is essential
  • Ability to understand and communicate financial matters relating to the Business Units
  • Knowledge of IFRS
  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to define objectives and develop frameworks
  • Ability to work both collaboratively as part of a global team, in an ambiguous, constantly changing environment
