- this opportunity is even better than you imagined /p h3Your role includes. /h3 ul liDesigning and developing a central product database to consolidate and structure product information from our existing booking system. /li liBuilding integrations between the source system and the product database, ensuring reliable and consistent data exchange. /li liDeveloping an API layer that makes standardized product information available to other applications, including a new Quote Management System. /li liContributing to the solution architecture, translating functional requirements into a scalable and maintainable technical design. /li liImplementing an automated testing approach to safeguard the quality, reliability and maintainability of the solution. /li liTaking a hands‑on role in development, combining technical design with the actual implementation of the solution. /li liCollaborating closely with internal engineers and stakeholders to align technical decisions and ensure successful delivery. /li /ul pThis is a freelance assignment until the end of December 2026 (extension possible), with a start as soon as possible. You can work from either Belgium or the Netherlands. /p h3What makes you a great fit? /h3 pWhat's on your CV, is important but is by no means the only thing we attach importance to. You're an experienced Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in backend development, databases, API development and system integrations. You're comfortable contributing to solution architecture while remaining actively involved in hands‑on development. You understand how to design scalable and maintainable services, integrate data from existing systems and establish effective automated testing practices. You are analytical, pragmatic and able to work independently while collaborating closely with internal engineering teams. You take ownership of technical challenges and translate architectural concepts into working solutions. Professional proficiency in English is sufficient; knowledge of Dutch is not required. /p pExperience with product data management, centralized data services or quote management solutions is considered an asset. /p h3What's about to become your second home? /h3 pYou’ll join TPS, the international technology organization of Mediahuis, working within our B2B technology domain. The team is currently building a central Product Service to make product information from our booking system available to multiple applications through a standardized data and API architecture. You'll work closely with internal colleagues and contribute to a solution that will support future B2B processes and applications, including a new Quote Management System. The assignment offers the opportunity to combine architectural input with hands‑on engineering in an international technology environment. /p
