key responsibilities
- Coordinate and closely track daily transport planning and outbound shipments.
- Monitor carrier performance (KPIs and SLAs) and manage relationships with hauliers and freight forwarders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams (such as warehousing and customer care), external clients, and logistics partners.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date journey and freight data within the Transport Management System (TMS).
- Anticipate and efficiently resolve operational delays, transit incidents, and shipment exceptions.
- Analyze logistics data to optimize distribution processes, reduce costs, and identify shipping trends.
- Support freight settlement processes, including invoice auditing, cost control, transport claims, and profitability reviews.
- Ensure full compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and cargo documentation.
- qualifications
- Proven experience in transport planning, freight forwarding, or logistics supply chain coordination.
- Excellent command of English (both written and spoken); proficiency in Dutch or additional European languages is a distinct advantage.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, reporting, and data analysis) alongside solid proficiency with TMS software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills combined with a customer-centric attitude.
- Solid knowledge of transport regulations; practical experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is a valuable plus. share this job.
