Your role
You manage and grow TREMEC Belgium's commercial relationships with existing and new customers, acting as the key interface between TREMEC and the customer, managing the relationship and reputation of the company and brand. Alongside this, you contribute to TREMEC's strategic move into markets outside automotive, helping identify and validate the opportunities our business development team builds on.
You report to the Global Business Development Director, with a dotted line to the General Manager of TREMEC Belgium, and work closely with the Belgian engineering team, the international management team and our manufacturing sites in Mexico and the USA.
Your responsibilities:
Manage and grow the commercial relationship with existing and new accounts, acting as the primary interface between TREMEC and the customer
Identify and develop new business growth opportunities within existing accounts, and contribute market and account intelligence to support TREMEC's expansion into segments outside automotive
Qualify opportunities on technical feasibility and commercial value together with Engineering, Industrialization, Purchasing and Finance
Develop customer strategic plans and guide the activities needed to execute them
Lead the quotation process end to end, including internal coordination with our manufacturing sites, and report quote progress to TREMEC management
Build the business case for each opportunity: volumes, product costing, margin, investment required and payback
Negotiate commercial terms and contracts, and take ownership of the commercial aspects of projects that have been won
Prepare sales forecasts for the short, medium and long term, represent TREMEC at trade fairs and industry events, and feed market intelligence back into our product strategy
Your profile
You have experience in technical B2B sales, account management or business development, in a manufacturing or engineering-driven environment
You have a demonstrable track record of managing and growing key accounts, and are comfortable being a trusted point of contact for customers at multiple levels
You can hold a technical conversation with engineers and a commercial one with management, and translate between the two
You read a profit and loss statement, understand product costing and profitability, and can build a business case that stands up to scrutiny
Experience with driveline, powertrain or mechanical systems is a clear advantage. Affinity with markets outside automotive, such as agriculture, defense, off-highway or industrial equipment, is equally valuable
You are willing to travel approximately 25% of your time, mainly within the EU with occasional intercontinental trips
You work independently, structure your own priorities and are comfortable operating without a ready-made playbook
You are fluent in English and Dutch. Additional languages such as German, French, Italian or Spanish are an asset
