About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Back-End Developer to design, develop, maintain and improve critical PHP and C applications within a complex IT environment. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team working on the modernization of legacy systems and migration towards a modern architecture.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop and test applications based on functional and technical requirements. Develop and maintain PHP and C applications in a high-availability environment. Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Maintain and improve existing applications and provide technical support. Develop and integrate REST and SOAP web services . Contribute to technical architecture and propose improvements to existing solutions. Prepare and maintain technical documentation. Follow technological developments and provide technical recommendations. Requirements Expert knowledge of PHP 5.6, 7 and 8, JavaScript and C . Strong experience with C server-side programming , including asynchronous programming and threads. Knowledge of REST/SOAP web services . Experience with AngularJS, Ajax, jQuery, CodeIgniter and Git/DevOps . Knowledge of Linux/Red Hat environments. Good understanding of TCP/IP networking protocols . Knowledge of C#, Xamarin and related technologies is an advantage. Strong communication, problem-solving and documentation skills. Dutch, French and English proficiency. Practical Information Start: 15 September 2026 Duration: Until end of 2026, extendable Workload: Full-time (40 hours/week)
