pOur client, a prominent organization in the utilities sector, is looking for a Senior SAP Backend Developer to join their technical team. This role involves designing and implementing complex technical solutions within an S/4HANA environment while ensuring high-quality, modular code development. /ph3Responsibilities /h3ulliPropose technical solutions and provide workload estimates based on functional specifications and analyst discussions. /liliDraft technical specifications and ensure compliance with existing technical architecture and governance rules. /liliDevelop modular and reusable code using Object-Oriented ABAP and SAP standard extensions. /liliExecute comprehensive unit tests, including performance testing, query optimization, and mass processing tests. /liliAnalyze and resolve defects identified during test campaigns or production incidents in consultation with functional analysts. /liliMentor junior developers and assist in defining and improving development frameworks and standards. /li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulli10+ years backend development experience with SAP ABAP. /lili8+ years with Object-Oriented ABAP (OO) and standard extensions like User-Exit, BAdI, and Enhancement Spot. /lili8+ years in interface development using IDoc/ALE, BAPI/RFC, SOAP Web Services, and OData. /lili5+ years with SAP ABAP Workbench, Eclipse/ABAP Development Tools (ADT), and ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC). /lili3+ years experience as an SAP IS-U developer within the utilities sector. /liliYou possess proven experience within SAP S/4HANA development environments. /liliYou bring knowledge of Business Object Repository (BOR) and data migration via LSMW or EMIGALL. /liliYou have experience with Core Data Services (CDS Views). /liliYou're familiar with multiple SAP IS-U domains such as Device Management, Billing, or Energy Data Management. /liliYou are fluent in English. /li /ulh3Nice to Haves /h3ulliMaster's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related scientific field. /liliExperience with SAP Fiori, Web Dynpro, Adobe Forms, and BRF+. /liliKnowledge of SAP CRM, BOPF, Floorplan Manager (FPM), or SAP BPEM/EMMA. /liliFamiliarity with supporting tools like Jira, SAP Solution Manager, and SOAP UI. /liliYou are fluent in French or Dutch. /li /ulh3Offer /h3ulliStart date: 15/11/2026 /liliDuration: 12 months with extension possible /liliWork regime: Full-time /liliLocation: Brussels /liliContract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers /li /ul
