We're looking for an experienced Collections Specialist / Coordinator to manage complex collections and recovery cases while supporting colleagues and driving continuous improvement within our Collections team. This is a key individual contributor role, combining operational expertise, stakeholder management, and a customer-focused approach.
What you'll do
- Manage complex collections and recovery cases from start to finish.
- Determine the appropriate course of action for delinquent accounts, including contract terminations and the engagement of external partners.
- Work closely with lawyers, private investigators, and other external stakeholders.
- Coordinate vehicle recoveries with internal teams and external partners.
- Monitor workload and case progress, providing guidance and operational support to colleagues.
- Build strong relationships across Collections, Credit, Customer Care, and other business functions.
- Prepare reports and insights for the Credit Committee and senior management.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Ensure policies, procedures, and best practices are consistently applied and regularly reviewed.
What we're looking for
✔ Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
✔ FSMA accredited
✔ 5+ years' experience in collections and recoveries, ideally within leasing, banking, or financial services
✔ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
✔ Excellent communication and negotiation skills
✔ Customer-focused mindset with the ability to balance customer outcomes and business risk
✔ Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word
✔ Languages:
- Dutch – C1 minimum
- French – C1 minimum
- English – B2 or higher
