h3What you will do /h3 pYou will join the network and security team of a Belgian public-sector organisation to work on critical network security infrastructure and strategic transformation projects. /p pYour main responsibilities include: /p ul liManage and administer Palo Alto firewalls: installation, configuration, and ongoing management /li liExecute migration of firewalls and security policies from Forcepoint to Palo Alto Networks, including analysis, preparation, implementation, and validation /li liContribute to the definition of network security architectures /li liAdminister, operate, and optimise the Palo Alto infrastructure, including Panorama /li liParticipate in projects around network segmentation, flow security, and infrastructure hardening /li liPrepare technical documentation and operational procedures /li liParticipate in changes within a critical production environment /li liAdvise on technical solutions for securing connections with external partners /li liImplement solutions to address vulnerabilities /li /ul h3What we are looking for /h3 pbEssential experience and
skills:
/b /p ul liAt least 5 years of experience in network security, with autonomy and initiative /li liInstallation, configuration, administration, and optimisation of Palo Alto NGFW/Panorama infrastructure /li liMigration expertise: analysis, preparation, execution, and validation of firewall migrations (Forcepoint to Palo Alto) /li liNetwork security architecture: segmentation, hardening, VPN, dynamic routing (BGP/OSPF), interoperability with F5 BIG-IP /li liAdvanced troubleshooting and management of critical incidents in a multi-site production environment /li liAccurate documentation and collaboration with multiple technical teams (network, security, systems, operations, projects) /li liAnalysis of existing Forcepoint/Stonesoft rules, objects, NAT, VPN, and preparation of migration matrices /li liF5 BIG-IP: LTM module and ideally ASM/AWAF, load balancing, and reverse proxy /li liStrong written and verbal communication skills, with good technical communication /li /ul pbDesirable: /b /p ul liMicrosoft Azure environments /li liProxy/WAF solutions /li liSOC/SecOps context /li /ul pbEducation: /b /p pGraduate or degree in computer science, or equivalent through proven experience. Desired certifications: PCNSA, PCNSE, F5 certifications (asset), additional security certifications (asset). /p pbLanguages: /b /p pPreferably bilingual (French, Dutch) or sufficient basic knowledge of a second national language. Technical English is required. /p h3The setting /h3 pThis assignment runs from November 2026 to the end of December 2026. /p pThe role is based in Brussels, with a hybrid working arrangement (remote work possible up to three days per week). /p pYou will work at SFIA level 4 (Enable), a senior technical profile, reporting to the network and security team lead.
