- FreelanceFor a customer in Brussels, I am looking for a Data Governance/Modelling profile to join on a freelance basis.
Our customer is establishing a Data Governance and Modelling Task Force to define a future unified data model and assess the requirements for a unified database.
The initial focus is the conceptual modelling phase, translating business processes and requirements into a conceptual and logical data model and producing the supporting documentation required for the next stages of the programme.
The role will cover the full data modelling lifecycle from conceptual through logical to physical modelling, with the expectation that the project will progress into database design and implementation.
Please note this is preferred in 1 profile, but could be split into a governance architect and a technical specialist.
The focus is on:Establishing a conceptual data modelTranslating business processes and requirements into data structuresDeveloping the logical data modelDefining the supporting data governance artefactsPreparing for physical data modelling and database implementationEstablishing data cataloguing processes and toolingSupporting the transition from modelling into database developmentResponsibilitiesLead workshops with business stakeholders to understand processes, requirements and data dependenciesTranslate business requirements into conceptual data modelsDevelop logical data models based on business requirementsDefine entities, attributes, relationships and data structuresDocument data definitions and relationshipsRequirements5+ Years experience on Data Governance Topics5+ Years on data modelling topics.
