A multinational defence organisation runs its core
business services on Oracle E-Business Suite, and it is looking for
an applications database administrator to take ownership of that
estate. You would work under the service owner and service delivery
manager, on-site in Braine-l'Alleud, Belgium. What you will do Take
responsibility for the assigned business applications and services
end to end. Provide 2nd and 3rd line support: respond to service
requests, investigate and resolve incidents and problems, and
explain the fix — and the better way of working — to users.
Contribute to gathering, analysing, designing and documenting new
requirements and change requests. Write and review requirement
definitions, functional and technical design documents and system
specifications. Give realistic time estimates for new development,
and run full lifecycle testing on every change before it reaches
user acceptance. Contribute across service lines wherever
integration work is needed, and give briefings and presentations on
what you have built. What you bring Substantial hands-on experience
administering Oracle E-Business Suite applications — patching,
cloning, performance, configuration and the database beneath them.
A support background strong enough for 3rd line: you are the person
the escalation reaches. The analytical side as well as the
operational one — requirements, design documentation and change
control are part of the job, not an afterthought. Comfort working
in a structured, process-driven environment with formal testing
gates. Fluent business English and the ability to work in a
multinational team. Why it is worth a conversation This is a
long-running, well-established platform with real users and real
consequences, not a greenfield experiment. If you know EBS deeply,
you will be the person who owns it here.
