ph3What will you be doing? /h3 pAs an Information Security Technical Consultant, you’ll dive into the technical heart of cybersecurity while helping clients see the bigger picture. You’ll assess systems, uncover risks, and guide them towards secure, compliant, and resilient operations. A week in your role might include: /p ul liPerforming penetration tests and vulnerability assessments on infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments. /li liActing as the client contact, helping define project scope and translating needs into clear action plans. /li liConducting technical security audits, reviewing configurations and evaluating control effectiveness. /li liAssessing network, system, and cloud architectures, identifying weaknesses and improvement opportunities. /li liSupporting information security maturity assessments, aligning clients with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA, and Cyber Fundamentals. /li liTranslating technical findings into clear, practical remediation advice. /li liContributing to internal and external audits, validating control design and effectiveness. /li liCollaborating with BDO colleagues in Cybersecurity, IT Audit, GRC, and Digital for comprehensive advisory projects. /li /ul h3What do you bring to the table? /h3 ul liA bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security or a related field. /li li2–5 years of hands‑on experience in technical security assessments, ethical hacking, or IT/OT security audits. /li liStrong command of FR/EN or NL/EN /li liStrong understanding of network, system, and cloud security. /li liFamiliarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA, NIST CSF, or CIS Controls. /li liExperience using common security tools and testing methodologies. /li liExcellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills. /li liA proactive, pragmatic mindset and drive to learn. /li liExperience with OT/ICS environments or security certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor are a nice to have /li /ul h3What do we bring to the table? /h3 ul libCulture /b: you will join a team of experts who encourage respect, diversityand teamwork. /li libDevelopment /b: you decide the direction of your career, and we support you wherenecessary. /li libImpact /b: from day 1 you will be given responsibility, with support from your team. /li libGrowth /b: you get access to a whole range of training courses through our BDO Academy. /li libNetwork /b: you can work on different projects and clients, across business practices. /li libFlexibility /b: you choose where you work with flexible
