Job Title: Automation Engineer (Freelance) - Fluent Flemish Speaking
Location: Antwerp
Hourly Rate: €75 per hour
Contract: 12 months initially (with potential extension)
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced freelance Automation Engineer to join our client, who is a leading company in the Automotive industry. This role will be based in Antwerp, but offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring just 2 days on-site per week. The contract is initially set for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
You will be involved in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal, PLCs, SCADA systems, Java, and FMEA methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal.
Program and troubleshoot PLCs for industrial automation processes.
Develop and maintain SCADA systems for real-time monitoring and control.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
Apply FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) to identify risks and optimize system designs.
Requirements:
Proficiency with Siemens TIA Portal and PLC programming.
Hands-on experience with Java programming for automation tasks.
Understanding of SCADA systems and their integration with automation systems.
Familiarity with FMEA techniques for system improvement.
