Data Architect

Infogene Belgium (part of Vulcain Engineering Group) is looking for a Data Architect to join its teams.

In this role, you will define and shape modern data architectures that enable organizations to leverage data as a strategic asset, enabling analytics, business intelligence, AI and enterprise digital transformation.

You will support digital transformation initiatives across the Energy, Life Sciences and Industrial sectors , collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and business stakeholders.

ABOUT THE POSITION

• Design and define scalable, secure and future-proof data architectures aligned with business and technology objectives
• Define enterprise data models, integration patterns and governance principles across complex data ecosystems
• Lead the design and implementation of modern data platforms in cloud and hybrid environments
• Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Solution Architects, Project Managers and Business Stakeholders to ensure architectural consistency across projects
• Establish standards and best practices related to data management , data quality, security and governance
• Drive the adoption of modern data technologies including Data Warehousing, Lakehouse and Cloud Data Platforms
• Identify opportunities to optimize data flows, storage solutions and overall platform performance
• Contribute to technology roadmaps and strategic decisions regarding data architecture and digital transformation

ABOUT YOU

• Master’s degree in computer science , Information Systems, Data Engineering or related field
• Between 5 and 10 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering or Enterprise Data projects
• Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms
• Good understanding of cloud-native architectures , data governance frameworks and integration patterns
• Experience with modern data technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse or similar platforms
• Ability to translate business requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions
• Comfortable working in collaborative and agile environments
• Professional proficiency in English is required. Fluency in French and/or Dutch is highly appreciated.
• Experience within Energy, Utilities, Life Sciences or Industrial environments is considered a strong asset
