SAP Procure-to-Pay Senior Consultant The role As an SAP Procure-to-Pay Senior Consultant, you will help clients design, implement and improve their procurement processes and technology.
Your core focus will be SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement (SAP MM) and/or SAP Ariba. Depending on the client and project, you may also work with procurement platforms such as Ivalua, Jaggaer or Coupa and with other SAP modules and solutions.
This is a client-facing consulting role combining SAP functional expertise, procurement process knowledge and project delivery. You will be involved throughout the implementation lifecycle-from understanding business requirements and designing the future process through configuration/implementation support, testing, training and go-live. What you will do As a Senior Consultant, you will: Analyse clients' current Procure-to-Pay and Source-to-Pay processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Design future ("to-be") procurement processes based on business requirements and SAP capabilities. Design and support the implementation of solutions using SAP S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement (MM) and/or SAP Ariba. Translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements for implementation teams. Advise clients on solution options, taking into account business needs, system constraints, integration requirements and SAP best practices. Participate in or lead client workshops to gather requirements, validate designs and support decision-making. Support SAP configuration, implementation, testing, issue resolution, deployment and go-live activities. Produce functional specifications, process documentation, training materials and other project documentation. Deliver training and support change-management activities to help users adopt new processes and systems. Coordinate activities and deliverables within your area of responsibility and contribute to the overall management of the project. Work with other SAP functional and technical teams where procurement processes integrate with areas such as Finance, Logistics and invoice processing. Support and coach more junior consultants as your experience develops. What we are looking for Essential experience and skills You should have: Approximately 3-6 years of professional experience with SAP procurement solutions, preferably within a consulting or client-facing project environment. Hands-on functional experience in at least one of the following:SAP MM / S/4HANA Sourcing & Procurement; or SAP Ariba. Experience working on SAP implementation, rollout, transformation or support projects. Understanding of procurement and Procure-to-Pay processes, including areas such as purchasing, purchase orders, goods receipt, invoice processing and related workflows. Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into SAP/process solutions. Experience with SAP SRM workflows, implementation and/or support. Some exposure to other SAP modules or solutions, such as FI/CO or VIM. The ability to communicate solutions clearly to both business and technical stakeholders. Strong client-facing, workshop and presentation skills. A solution-oriented approach: you can evaluate different options and recommend a practical solution based on the client's requirements and constraints. Strong teamwork and communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge with colleagues. Professional fluency in English. The right to work in Belgium. You should also be comfortable working with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience that is advantageous The following are valuable but are not essential requirements for the role: SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud experience. Experience with additional Source-to-Pay/procurement platforms such as Ivalua, Jaggaer or Coupa. Broader SAP knowledge outside procurement, for example FI/CO, Logistics Execution (LE), Global Trade Services (GTS) or VIM. Experience integrating SAP with SAP add-ons, external procurement platforms or other non-SAP systems. French and/or Dutch language skills. Experience coaching or mentoring junior consultants. Experience contributing to internal team, capability-building or culture initiatives. Exposure to consulting business development, such as identifying client opportunities, developing proposals or building long-term client relationships.
