About Akkodis

Akkodis is a global engineering and technology consulting company supporting organizations in the development, transformation and optimization of their products, systems, and operations. Our experts work across engineering, digital and software, Data & AI, manufacturing, and life sciences, contributing to projects in sectors such as mobility, aerospace, energy, and healthcare. At Akkodis, you join an international environment where you can develop your expertise, work on challenging projects and build a career that evolves with your ambitions.

Your responsibilities

You will join the manufacturing logistics and supply team of one of our key pharmaceutical clients in Belgium, playing an active role in ensuring that medicines reach patients precisely when they need them. This is a cross-functional role where planning expertise, project leadership and continuous improvement mindset all come into play.

On the planning side, you will support the Production Planning team on process and system-related questions, forecast key events and new product launches, monitor key performance indicators, and coordinate cross-functional teams to strengthen supply chain initiatives. You will be accountable for inventory planning and coordination, monitor inventory shelf-life, and develop supply chain agreements with relevant stakeholders.

On the project side, you will lead and co-lead moderately complex projects, managing time and resources effectively. You will guide operational teams in project management, prepare resource forecasts, and identify areas for improvement in products, processes and services. You will also facilitate agreements between teams and advance new concepts and methodologies within the supply chain function.

On the operational side, you will communicate demand and supply issues proactively, perform root cause analysis of inventory deviations, use ERP systems and reporting tools to resolve shipment issues, and drive ongoing process improvement and efficiency across supply chain operations.

Beyond execution, you will review your own work, seek directional input where needed, mentor colleagues, and progressively become a go-to resource for others within the team.

Your profile

  • You have a minimum of 4 years of experience in production planning, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry or a similarly regulated sector
  • A Master’s degree with relevant pharmaceutical experience is a strong advantage.
  • You have demonstrated expertise in project management and leading cross-functional teams, and you are comfortable operating independently in ambiguous or non-standard situations.
  • You are proficient in SAP or equivalent ERP systems, strong in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You are able to communicate clearly in Dutch and English both in writing and in presentations.
  • Experience in managing supply chain operations in a global context is a plus, as is familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT to support problem solving and efficiency.
