The job
As a Senior Accountant, you are responsible for the financial administration, closing and compliance of one or more entities, ensuring reliable and transparent reporting towards the group.
Your responsibilities include:
- Owning and managing the closing process, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness
- Maintaining and controlling the general ledger, including accruals, journal entries and reconciliations
- Ensuring local compliance, including VAT returns and statutory requirements
- Aligning local financials with group reporting, ensuring consistency and transparency
- Preparing audit documentation and supporting external audits
- Managing intercompany reconciliations and ensuring correct application of accounting policies
- Identifying and driving improvements in financial processes and SAP systems
- Supporting and guiding finance team members, while acting as a sparring partner to the CFO and Group Controller
Your profile
Must-haves
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance or controlling
- Strong experience with monthly closings and balance sheet management
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance
- Fluency in Dutch, English and French
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA (Public Cloud)
- Exposure to audit processes
- Experience in a group reporting or consolidation environment
