In this position, you will combine hands‑on safety expertise with contributing to fire protection excellence within our Belgian operations organization. At Groot-Bijgaarden site,

a various work environment of production, warehousing, lab, bakery and office environment. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 ul liYou lead, implement and continuously improve safety and prevention programmes to achieve world-class Safety Health performance across our Groot-Bijgaarden site. /li liYou manage and optimize fire protection systems, including detection, sprinkler, extinguishing and gas detection systems, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements and Belgian legislation. /li liYou act as the regional beOps Fire Protection Expert, supporting Belgian sites, conducting audits and providing expert guidance during engineering and investment projects. /li liYou perform risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analyses and develop preventive action plans that strengthen operational safety performance. /li liYou coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including emergency response plans, first intervention teams and exercises with external authorities and fire brigades. /li liYou deliver impactful safety training, coach employees and stakeholders, and help foster a proactive safety culture throughout the organization. /li liYou drive the safety governance of CAPEX and engineering projects, ensuring that safety-by-design principles, risk assessments and legal requirements are embedded from concept through commissioning. /li liYou report results on a frequent base (monthly report, scorecard, yearly report) and definition and follow-up of action plans to maintain and further improve the site Safety Health performance. /li liYou hold a master’s degree or equivalent technical/scientific qualification and are a certified Prevention Advisor Level 2. /li liYou bring 3-5 years of experience in Health Safety, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. /li liExperience or strong affinity with fire protection systems, fire prevention or process safety is highly valued. /li liYou are a strong communicator who can influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization. /li liYou combine autonomy and ownership with a pragmatic, hands‑on approach to problem solving. /li liYou are fluent in Dutch and have a good working knowledge of French and English. /li liYou are passionate about continuous improvement and motivated to make a visible impact on safety performance and employee wellbeing. /li /ul pYou will be welcomed in a dynamic work environment where passion for innovation, team spirit and continuous improvement are key.
