Geodata Engineer

h3Mission Overview: /h3pKeystone Solutions is seeking a Geodata Engineer for a consultancy mission at a client site. In this role, you will leverage your strong expertise in geospatial data management, spatial analysis, and GIS technologies to translate business needs into reliable geospatial solutions while maintaining and evolving geospatial platforms, datasets, and analytical capabilities. /ph3Responsibilities: /h3ulliDesign, develop and maintain geospatial data integration and transformation workflows using FME and related technologies. /liliManage, maintain and optimize geospatial datasets and data models in PostgreSQL/PostGIS environments. /liliPerform geospatial analyses to support operational activities, strategic decision-making and business requests. /liliAnalyze spatial patterns, trends and geographic information to provide actionable insights to stakeholders. /liliProduce thematic maps, spatial indicators and geospatial reporting outputs. /liliEnsure the quality, consistency and reliability of geospatial data assets. /liliMaintain and enrich geospatial reference datasets. /liliSupport business users in defining and implementing geospatial data requirements. /liliContribute to the maintenance, administration and evolution of the organization's interactive mapping platform (Cartostation). /liliImplement new maps, layers, functionalities and visualizations in response to business needs. /liliInvestigate incidents, resolve data-related issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of geospatial services. /liliProduce and maintain technical and functional documentation. /liliCollaborate closely with business teams, geodata engineers, and data analysts within an Agile environment. /li /ulh3Profile: /h3ulli3 to 7 years of professional experience in GIS, geospatial data engineering or geospatial analytics. Internships alone are not sufficient. /liliConfirmed experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS for geospatial data management and spatial querying. /liliConfirmed experience with FME for geospatial ETL, automation and data integration. /liliConfirmed experience with QGIS for data editing, analysis, visualization and cartographic production. /liliConfirmed experience in Python for geospatial data processing, automation, analysis and integration of GIS workflows. /liliDemonstrated experience in conducting geospatial analyses and translating business questions into spatial insights. /liliStrong knowledge of spatial databases, spatial SQL and geospatial data modelling. /liliGood understanding of geospatial analysis methods and cartographic principles. /liliExperience in managing and publishing geospatial information through web mapping platforms. /liliAbility to gather business requirements and translate them into sustainable geospatial solutions. /liliExperience supporting and evolving operational geospatial applications. /liliStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. /liliAutonomous, organized and service-oriented. /liliStrong communication skills. /liliCurious, able to work with a lead, not only a ticket-taker. /liliEnglish required for code, scripts and technical documentation; French required for day-to-day interactions with stakeholders and colleagues; Dutch is a plus. /li /ulh3Assets: /h3ulliExperience with WebGIS platforms and OGC web services. /liliPython for geospatial automation and analytics. /liliGDAL, GeoPandas, Shapely or equivalent libraries. /liliExperience with mobility, parking, transportation, infrastructure or smart city datasets. /liliExperience designing geospatial dashboards and interactive map applications. /liliKnowledge of data governance and metadata management practices. /liliExperience working in the public sector. /li /ulpAt Keystone Solutions, we pride ourselves on our consultancy nature, offering dynamic projects that provide turbo-charged learning opportunities and a commitment to skyrocketing ambition.
