Mackay Base Hospital is seeking a Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology to join a welcoming, well‑established department on the North Queensland Coast. This is an outstanding opportunity for an Australian‑trained Consultant or a UK/Irish Specialist eligible via the RANZCOG substantial comparability pathway to practise high‑quality generalist Obstetrics & Gynaecology in a modern regional referral hospital while enjoying a genuinely balanced lifestyle.
Role and Responsibilities
- Permanent Full‑Time (80 hrs per fortnight) or Part‑Time options available
- Broad generalist Obstetrics & Gynaecology workload

Qualifications and Eligibility
- Fellowship or eligibility for Fellowship of RANZCOG
- International Medical Graduates (IMGs) must be assessed as Substantially Comparable via the RANZCOG pathway
- Ability to practise independently across Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Commitment to high‑quality, woman‑centred care
