What You'll Do
- Operate and maintain complex enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, data centre and cloud environments
- Configure, troubleshoot and optimise Cisco routing and switching infrastructure
- Work with advanced routing technologies including OSPF, IS-IS and MP-BGP
- Manage and support Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, wireless and enterprise network platforms
- Collaborate with security teams on firewalls, NAC, authentication and network access controls
- Support connectivity and infrastructure projects, including data centre, cloud and network modernisation initiatives
- Monitor network health and performance using enterprise monitoring, logging and observability platforms
- Automate network operations using Python and/or Ansible where appropriate
- Participate in controlled changes within a business-critical IT/OT environment
- Provide technical support to colleagues and teams across Belgium and other European locations
- Participate in an on-call/standby rotation of approximately one week in four
- Contribute to continuous improvement of network reliability, security and operational processes
What you bring
- 5+ years of professional experience in network engineering or network infrastructure
- Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco networking technologies
- In-depth knowledge of routing and switching, including OSPF, IS-IS, MP-BGP and MST
- Experience with LAN/WAN and data centre networking
- Practical experience with Cisco ACI and/or Cisco SD-WAN
- Good understanding of network security, including firewalls, NAC, TACACS+ and RADIUS
- Experience with Cisco Wireless
- Experience with cloud networking, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Exposure to network automation using Python and/or Ansible
- Experience with monitoring, logging or observability platforms such as Zabbix and Elastic is an advantage
- Ability to work effectively in both IT and OT environments
- A structured approach to change management, troubleshooting and operational risk
